1995; He was on a study visit to Denmark as part of the democracy training programme “Democracy and Citizenship Education in Europe” in Odense and Copenhagen, where he held a series of lectures in the area of contemporary theory of culture, identity and philosophy of politics.
1994: He was on a study visit to the USA within the programme of the State Department and American Embassy in Zagreb; “Democracy and Multiculturalism”. The visit included staying at universities in Washington, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Ann Arbor, Santa Fe, discussions with leading American social scientists (Ben Wattenberg from the American Enterprise Institute and others), visiting the American Sociological Association, and he held several lectures at Virginia University in Charlottesville on the theories of culture, identity and philosophy of politics.
MEMBERSHIPS AND AWARDS
Member of the Croatian Philosophical Society, Society for the Advancement of Philosophy, Sören Kierkegaard Institute, Institute for European and Globalization Studies, Croatian Writers Society, Croatian P.E.N. Centre. Together with prof. Dean Komel from the University of Ljubljana and prof. Bernhard Waldenfels, University of Ruhr-Bochum, he is the founder of the Forum for European Humanities. 2008; He received the international philosophical and literary creation award from the Vienna KULTURKONTAKT foundation for literature and essay writing in Central Europe.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
In the 2018–2013 period he acted as Head of the Department of Design and Textile Clothing at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology; is a member of a large number of faculty commissions; since the academic year 2008/2009. he has been head of the graduate study programme of Fashion Theory and Culture, the first interdisciplinary study programme in the field of social sciences and humanities, art and fashion in Croatia and wider. He is editor-in-chief of TVRĐA, theory, culture and visual arts journal, deputy editor-in-chief of the EUROPSKI GLASNIK journal, visiting editor-in-chief of the UP & UNDERGROUND (Critical Theory Dossier) journal, a member of the editorial board of the KNJIŽEVNA REPUBLIKA journal, a member of the international council of IMAGES: JOURNAL OF VISUAL STUDIES, member of the international council of philosophical journals PHAINOMENA and APOKALIPSA from Ljubljana.
